New Wind Warning issued for North Coast for Wednesday

Another weather system this way comes, more wind, more rain is 
on the way for the North Coast

Another round of winter weather is ahead for the North Coast with Environment Canada issuing a WIND WARNING on Tuesday afternoon alerting residents of the region to Strong winds on the way for Wednesday daytime and Wednesday evening.

The approaching weather system comes from the South with winds of up to 90 km/h

Rain at times heavy is also forecast for Wednesday evening and through into Thursday, with the precipitation to continue through the weekend ahead. Close to 100 mm of rain is anticipated as the Wind Warning is in effect.


A STORM WARNING marks the marine forecast with Winds of up to 55 knots anticipated into Wednesday morning the Hecate Strait, with seas building to 6 metres by the noon hour tomorrow.
