The Prince Rupert Library is one of ten City of Prince Rupert

To kick off 2022, the City of Prince Rupert is looking to have an assessment done on the state of their physical assets, with Tom Jawed, the City's Facilities and Maintenance Manager looking to get the 411 on the status of a number buildings around the community.

In a Request for Proposals, Mr. Jawed outlines the scope of the assessment, with the city seeking proposals from qualified proponents towards condition assessments, engineering investigations, and budget estimates for phased rectification of multiple city owned building envelopes & roof deficiencies.

Presently, there are varying degrees of deficiencies pertaining to buildings such as water ingress, roof leaks, air leaks and thermal leaks.

Towards the work, individual assessments will be required for each of the following structures set for the review by the City.

What the city is looking for from proponents includes:

Would be proponents are also provided with a detailed list of the expectations of the City towards the assessment work, that as part of the Project overview.
