Salt Marsh Rendez-vous plans in place for Community Earth Day on April 22nd

The newest recreation spot in Prince Rupert will be the host venue once again this year for the annual Earth Day Community Celebration, with the Seal Cove Salt Marsh the rendezvous point for Saturday April 22nd.

The Three hour celebration will get underway at Noon Hour, with a busy agenda of activities for participants to take in.

In addition to the official events noted above for the afternoon celebration, a number of local groups will be on hand, with activities such as a Bike Skills Course, Face Painting, Paint a Fish and a Family Fitness program all part of the day.

For those looking for some snacks, some of the City's Food Trucks will be in place to offer up some of the cuisine of the city.

Among the community groups that will be participating in the event:

Oldfield Creek Fish Hatchery, DFO, NorthCoast Mountain Bike Association, North Coast Community Services, Tourism Prince Rupert, Valhalla Fest, Ocean Wise, Yaga and Sweet Rebel Fitness.

The Earth Day Program is hosted by the City of Prince Rupert, Prince Rupert Port Authority and North Coast Ecology Centre Society.

You can follow both the City of Prince Rupert Social Media feed and that of the Prince Rupert Port Authority for updates as Earth Day gets closer.

  1. Will it be all right to bring small children. I understand the dog poop situation is atrocious.

    1. Search Pride Prince Rupert on Facebook. A couple of lovely volunteers cleaned up a whole bunch of dog poop recently.

But it Shouldn’t have to be this way folks! Pick up after your pets or don’t get a pet in the first place!
