Vehicle incident on City's east side leaves trail of damage

A short block of damage on the city's east side from
an Tuesday vehicle incident

A stretch of Eighth Avenue East is going to need a new Stop Sign, as well as some property work after what appears to have been a vehicle incident sometime Tuesday along the stretch of Eighth East that merges with Hays Cove, across from the North side of Conrad School.

In addition to the need to replace  the Stop Sign, the short area of roadway shows damage to the hydro pole, the rock wall that runs along the sidewalk, as well as damage to one of the three houses along the  1100 block of the roadway.

No timeline was offered up through some Social Media notes related to the incident, with much of the commentary suggesting that the damage was caused by an impaired driver.

Prince Rupert RCMP have yet to issue any form of statement related to the cause of the damage, or to make note of the incident.

More notes on the work of Emergency Responders can be explored here .
