The Ruby Princess at the Prince Rupert Cruise Terminal on Thursday, it was her final visit to the city for the season |
The Ruby Princess, one of the most familiar visitors to the Prince Rupert Cruise Terminal during cruise ship seasons made her final visit for 2023 on Thursday, the eight hour stop over in the city marking the 14th and final visit for the vessel for the year.
The visitors once ashore fanned out to many areas of the city, from the Rushbrook Trail to the Rupert Square Mall, with many exploring the Cow Bay Area, likely keeping a watchful eye on the threatening skies which thankfully for an enjoyable visit, never quite brought precipitation for the course of the port call.
The 2023 Cruise ship season is quickly nearing its conclusion, the schedule featuring just five more port calls, with the largest of the remaining vessels the Holland America Noordam which arrives next Friday, the 29th of September.
The Noordam could send a potential 1,924 visitors ashore for one last look around the region for the year.
The final vessel call for 2023 comes on October 10th with the Seabourn Odyssey putting the wrap on the Prince Rupert cruise experience for this season.
