Strategic Planning for Prince Rupert the focus for Wednesday session at Prince Rupert CMTN Campus

Officials with Coast Mountain College will be in Prince Rupert on Wednesday looking to hear from the community on what the focus should be for post secondary education in the city.

That as Coast Mountain is hosts a Strategic Planning Community Engagement Session from 10 AM to Noon

The two hour planning session takes place in the Multi Purpose room at Coast Mountain College's Prince Rupert campus and will provide a glimpse at the college's plans for the future as well as to hear from the public as to what the community may be looking for when it comes to education.

There could be much to share with the college when it comes to local needs, whether it's campus housing, focused trades training or just general education themes and community partnerships.

The timing is a bit unfortunate for the session, with much of City Council and Senior civic staff currently out of town for the UBCM convention, so a fulsome in person contribution from the city for this go round may be missing from the program.

A glimpse at the Coast Mountain College Prince Rupert page provides a look at what the focus is at the moment for the college campus in the city.

Wednesday's event is open to the public.

  1. Providing continuity and keeping promises would be a start. The campus has been a revolving door for managers. The former president promised to move here, joined our chamber of commerce, and then left the region without setting foot in Rupert. Actions speak louder than words.
