After the crowds depart, the Cenotaph returns to silent tribute

The last post having sounded, the march off complete, by mid afternoon the Prince Rupert Court House was left to the ghosts of the past, a quiet, reflective place, with but the wreaths of the day paying tribute to the sacrifices of years etched in time.

Prince Rupert's annual commemoration of sacrifice wrapped up shortly after the Noon hour Sunday, as participants headed off to the Royal Canadian Legion or for the youth of the community to the Seniors Centre for refreshments.

An exodus from the Court House lawn that let the Prince Rupert landmark to it's remembrances of years gone by. A few photos from a moment of Sunday afternoon where only a gust of wind and an occasional leaf stirred the calm of the day.
