BC Hydro to interrupt power to Digby Island, Metlakatla and Lax Kw'alaams next week

BC Hydro is planning some improvements to the electrical system that connects Digby Island, Metlakatla and Lax Kw'alaams (Port Simpson) and next week, those improvements will see the power interrupted for approximately 4 hours.

The planned outage is set for Wednesday, October 16th from 10 am to 2 pm, with residents, or those working in those areas advised to make the necessary preparations for the outage.

Making sure that they done such tasks as turning off all lights,  electric heaters and major appliances prior to the shut down of power.
