Rogers cell phone outage covers large portion of Canada
Reports have started to roll in over service outages for users of Rogers cellular phone service across Canada, the majority of the accounts of outages ranging from Quebec stretching into the west, including British Columbia.
Service on the North Coast appears to have been affected as well. Repeated efforts to make a cel phone call in Prince Rupert have resulted in incomplete connections, with a service advisory message that lists an error in connection appearing on phones.
Rogers took to twitter to provide updates on the situation, which they hope to resolve as soon as possible, though apparently not soon enough for some, at least according to the comments posted to their service advisory.
Update: Service was restored to Rogers customers shortly before 9 PM.
