Senior Girls Rainmakers take to the court today in high profile Vancouver tourney

This weekend puts the Charles Hays Senior Girls Basketball team in the Vancouver spotlight as the team makes ready for three days of tournament action at the 26th Street Tournament known as the Big Kahuna Cup.

The Senior Girls left Prince Rupert on Wednesday for the Vancouver event hosted by two Secondary schools in the Lower Mainland, York House and Little Flower Academy.

The Rainmakers face their first test this afternoon at 3:15 when they meet up with Little Flower Academy at the York House Gymnasium.

The remainder of their schedule will depend on results along the way, with the ultimate destination for the team a spot in Saturday's championship final at 3PM at York House.

The tournament looks to offer a good test for the Senior girls with some fairly familiar names included in the list of teams taking part, a number of them holding strong records from the provincials of last year.

In addition to the Rainmakers and host York House and Little Flower; Southridge, St. Thomas More, GW Graham, Lord Byng and Seycove  will also on the court during the next three days.

The Schedule for the weekend event can be reviewed below, updates to the list will be provided as the results roll in from Vancouver.
