As the 2017 academic year winds down for Northwest Community college, scholarship opportunities are now available for students continuing their education into next year or those joining the academic programs at four campus locations this fall.
There are five scholarships valued for $2,000 available to students enrolled in academics at NWCC, the selection process based on a combination of academic excellence and community involvement,.
Applicants must be registered in a full time course load in an academic program at NWCC, they must also provide an official high school transcript, or transcripts from other post secondary institutions that they have previously attended.
As well, a personal statement outlining community involvement is required.
Applicable programs related to the Scholarship opportunities include:
Social Service Worker (SSW)
Business Administration
Early Childhood Care & Education Diploma (ECCE)
Northern Collaborative Baccalaureate Nursing (NCBNP) - Registered Nurse
First Nations Fine Arts
Applied Coastal Ecology (ACE)
The Scholarship opportunities are available for those students attending the Prince Rupert Campus, or Terrace, Hazelton and Smithers.
The Deadline for applications is May 31st.
