Put your Junk in the trunk ... and showcase it Saturday at the Civic Centre

The parking lot at the Civic Centre will be serving as a key component for voting day and the democratic process today, but come the weekend it's going to be the home for crowds looking for something just a little different.

The popular annual Mobile Garage sale known as Junk In the Trunk will take over the Civic Centre Parking Lot this weekend, marking the fourth year that the City of Prince Rupert turns over the parking spaces to residents of the region who have started with their Spring Cleaning.

Participants can reserve their parking stall for Twenty dollars, with the fees collected for the event to be directed towards free swims for Prince Rupert families.

Junk in the Trunk set up starts at 8AM on Saturday morning, the event goes ahead Rain or Shine from 9AM until 1 PM.

Food vendors are reminded that in addition to their 20 dollar parking stall fee, they will be required to have a business licence as well, they are available from City Hall for $27.50
