NWCC highlights Field School experience in new promotional video

An opportunity to go to places that many may never see is one of the approaches that Northwest Community College is taking to showcase some of the educational opportunities found in the Northwest.

Among the recent 6 credit course options that make use of the Field School experience have been a program featuring Relationships and Language: Truth and Reconciliation in Northwestern BC. That program was offered through the Prince Rupert campus.

Other Field School programs include a look at the Skeena Watershed ecosystem, exploration of Haida Gwaii, as well as a review of Rural challenges in marketing.

NWCC also offers a program called People of the Skeena, which explores the Gtixsan culture and history, while the Icefields to Oceans program has also provided some unique experiences for students.

A sample of the Field School experience at NWCC was offered up through a video presentation available through the college's YouTube channel.

You can find out more about some of the Field School programs offered across the Northwest here.

As well, an overview of the other programs is available through the NWCC website.
