Some of those on the North Coast that aren't travelling out of town, are instead volunteering for their community with local seniors set to benefit from the bounty of the Thanksgiving season.
The Prince Rupert Lions Club are cooking up a Thanksgiving Day Lunch and all of Prince Rupert's Seniors are invited to drop in to share in the food and good company.
The local service club has set the table for Monday, October 9th at the Moose Hall, with a Noon hour start for the day's festivities.
Prince Rupert's Moose Hall will be the Thanksgiving destination for the city's Seniors as the Lions Club host a Thanksgiving Lunch |
For those who require transportation to the event, the Lions have left a sign up sheet at the Prince Rupert Seniors Centre at Grenville Court.
Those seniors that may need a ride on Monday are asked to sign up and Lions member will come pick you up and bring you back home at the end of the Dinner.
You can get updates on the Monday plans from the Prince Rupert Lions Club Facebook page.
