A chance for Northwest ski enthusiasts to lend a hand in the prep work for the 2017-18 ski season is coming up this weekend as Shames Mountain issues the call for volunteers for a number of projects for Saturday, October 14.
The weekend work will see participants help out with Brushing, with a focus on the lower parking lot area of the ski hill, the exit from Black Runs and Terminator.
As well, they hope tackle some work around the maintenance shop with plans to install tin the back wall of the shop and work inside the Lodge area all in anticipation of the new season.
Should you have some time to lend a hand you can contact them at 250-635-3773 or leave a message through their Facebook page.
As for the ski season ahead, season passes are available from the Terrace based recreation area, you can learn more about their packages from the Shames Mountain My Mountain Co-op website
