Rampage get weekend off; CIHL home debuts for Terrace and Kitimat

The players with the Prince Rupert Rampage will be able to have the Thanksgiving weekend at home, offering up the chance to load up on the turkey and stuffing (though perhaps not too much ...) as they get the bye week in CIHL action.

Hockey will still be a featured attraction in the Northwest however, as both the Terrace River Kings and the Kitimat Ice Demons have their home openers this weekend

The Quesnel Kangaroos  got the short end of the schedule stick and are making the long drive from the Cariboo into a long weekend of action for week two of the CIHL season.

Saturday the Roos are in Terrace for a 7PM puck drop with the Terrace River Kings, the Terrace squad is off to a fast start, having come back from the interior with four points after a sweep of the Cariboo teams.

Sunday Quesnel heads down Highway 37 and a match up with the Ice Demons, with the Kitimat squad coming off their debut win against the Rampage last week.

CityWest is once again featuring CIHL games on their community channel, you can keep up with the programming options through the CityWest Community Television Facebook page.

Prince Rupert will look to mark their first points in the win column next week, when they embark on their own lengthy trek into Cariboo country.

The Rhinos have a Saturday showdown with Williams Lake on the 14th and then get to check out the new digs for the Kangaroos when they take on Quesnel in a Sunday noon hour match up at the newly opened West Fraser Centre on the 15th.

Updates on developments with the Rampage can be found through their Facebook page.
