Rampage Results/Schedule for 2018-19 Senior Men's CIHL Season

While the number of franchises may be down from just a few years ago, the CIHL continues to find a way to remain part of the fall and winter sports scene for the Northwest and Cariboo regions of the province, with the five teams of last year returning for a new season and a new quest for championship status.

The hometown Rampage once again head into the season looking to claim a 2018-19 CIHL Championship for the North Coast and book a ticket for the AA Senior championship Coy Cup.

See our season introduction piece here and review the season schedule below.

As part of the archive, we will update the developments of the 2018-19 Regular season, posting the results and scoring summaries following each Rampage game.

Results from the current week and an update on the next game to come will be posted below as the season progresses.

Those looking to keep up to speed on rumours and discussions on the CIHL might want to check in at the BC Senior Hockey Forum page, where CIHL News appears on an occasional basis.

  1. Question
Why are there players from other communities playing on a team as if they were from that community? Example I would think Terrace team players would be living in Terrace or from Terrace and Rupert Team players from Rupert. Do we have a problem in getting people to play - is it too expensive or what will make it better to get people from your home community to play on your home team?

  2. Well I don't have an official answer, but my guess is that owing to the nature of Senior Hockey and work/family commitments, it's harder to keep a roster constant later in the season. The Terrace players in this instance only made for a few additions to the Rampage roster of the regular season.

As well, the Rampage only heard that they were tournament bound after both Quesnel and Terrace chose to not attend this year, so players in Rupert may have already made other plans (it is school break and such) ...

At any rate, that's but a guess
