911 Dispatch position makes for latest City job opportunity

The City of Prince Rupert  has a casual position available
for a 911 dispatcher at the Prince Rupert Fire Hall

The City of Prince Rupert is looking to fill a position at the city's 911 Dispatch office at the Prince Rupert Fire Hall, with a job posting making its way to the civic jobs board last week.

The Casual position which reports to the Fire Chief or his designate receives emergency 911 calls and redirects them according to the type of response that is required.

Among the skills and abilities required for the position a focus on excellence on customer skills,  effective communication skills, ability to follow instruction, engage in critical thinking and have an ability to manage stress.

The position falls the terms of the CUPE 105 contract with the city, the deadline for applicants in April 3rd.
