Almost time to hit the pitch, as Soccer season now just weeks away



The 2019 Youth Soccer Season is only a few weeks away set to launch in early April. launching three months of play on the pitch for youth from ages 5 through to 18.

Four Divisions make up the Prince Rupert Youth Soccer Association with Timbits, Novice, Intermediate and Senior programs a testimony to the popularity of the sport in the city.

The first of the action starts on April 8th with the Timbits, Novices and Seniors taking to the pitch, the Intermediates launch their season one day later.

There's still time to register with this week the final week of Regular registration ending on March 15th. Late Registration will be accepted from March 16th through to April 1st.

As the season prepares for the opening kick off, the PRYSA is still looking for coaches, No experience is required and training is provided.

The Prince Rupert Association is also working with the Whitecaps Academy and Adam Glass will be in the city for weekly session plans and support for coaches. 

Locally John Sneddon will also be lending a hand in the early stages of the season, the technical director will be attending practices in the first few weeks to help launch the season.

The PRYSA is also looking for referees for the 2019 season, as well as for volunteers for a range of positions.
