There's a rumour going round ... that it's Opening Night for Rumours at the Lester Centre

With week upon week of rehearsals and preparation behind them, the cast, crew and producers of the Prince Rupert presentation of Rumours are ready for opening night, with the curtain set to rise on the community theatre production of the Neil Simon Classic set for 7:30 PM.

Tonight's show starts a three night run for Rumours  with the production helmed by Directors Hans Seidemann and Michael Gurney, who have assembled another talented collection of Prince Rupert actors and actresses to bring the play to life on the  stage at the Lester Centre.

As we outlined back in January, the casting call for the production went out at the start of the year, seeking out the talent to fill out the ten roles that make up for the heart of the production.

We further explored the process of read-throughs and the regimen of rehearsal time with a few notes on how things were progressing back in February.

As rehearsals headed towards the finish line in the last week or so, the Lester Centre offered up few behind the scenes peeks behind the curtain,  providing a glimpse into the work that has gone into bringing the show together.

You can find more background on Rumours along with more cast notes available on  the Lester Centre's Facebook page.

Tickets for all three shows are on sale at both Cooks Jewellers and the Lester Centre of the Arts Box Office.

Adult admission is 25 dollars, Seniors 15 and Students can get in for ten.

The curtain rises for all three performances at 7:30 each evening.
