CityWest set for storefront return to Kitimat

The expanding economic base in Kitimat is making for increased community presence for Prince Rupert based CityWest, which yesterday announced their plans to return to the days of a full service storefront office for the Aluminum City.

As the Northwest economy took a dip in 2013 CityWest closed down their storefront owing to a lack of customer traffic coming into the store.

However, with the economic fortunes for Kitimat now soon to be on the rise, the Northwest communication provider is ready to reopen their doors to a growing base of customers in the Kitimat Valley.

“We closed the storefront in 2013 because we weren’t getting enough foot traffic. But now, like everyone else, we see great things for Kitimat’s economic future, so we feel this is the perfect time to re-open the storefront.” -- Tina Lussier, Vice President, Customer Service, at CityWest.

The Kitimat office opens its doors on April 1st at 174 5th Street, once open residents can pick up or drop off their television boxes and Internet equipment, and inquire in person about the many services that are offered by the company.

Plans for a Grand Re-opening celebration are in the works, you can learn more about the new office and the plans for the celebration from this note from the CityWest website.
