Blog Watching: Week ending March 10 2019

Basketball was the talk of the town for the last half of the week, as followers of the Charles Hays Senior Boys Rainmakers kept up to speed on the progress of the Prince Rupert high school at this years AA Basketball Provincials.

Such was the interest in our notes on the week that almost all would have fit nicely into the top five, so to keep our finger on the other events of the week, we have an archive all of the reviews of the week through our Banner is within grasp piece, which was our most read item of the week.

When it came to non basketball news, politics delivered the next four most read items, with readers exploring our look at the announcement of the official opening of the new supportive housing complex in Prince Rupert, part on a celebration event on Friday that hailed the work that adds 36 new units for the community for those in the most need.

The City's budget planning accounted for two of our top five stories on the week, while some funding for school enhancement projects was delivered by the province for schools across BC.

However the top story of the week found us watching the arena bowl at the Langley Events Centre on Saturday afternoon, as the Charles Hays Rainmakers claimed the provincial title for 2019.
