Lax Kw'alaams looks to document and maintain heritage material

Members of the Lax Kw'alaams Band with an interest in assisting the Band in documenting their heritage will want to make note of community get together next week.

The gathering set for the Elders Lodge and is designed to explain an upcoming program to collect and manage material related to the history of the community.

The focus for the project it to document and manage material related to the Lax Kw’alaams Band history and culture and to better understand the impacts of resource development.

The program which offers either a Monday or a Tuesday session, is for community members who are 16 years or older and will take place from Noon to 1PM with a lunch provided as well as door prizes for those who participate.

The program which is being organized by Lax Kw'alaams Business Development has space for 25 people for each session,
