Water Service repairs require closure of Eastbound lane of 11th Avenue East

Eastbound traffic is being re-routed down Prince Rupert Boulevard
today as City Work Crews take on a water line repair on 11th Ave East

What had been hoped to be a one day job has apparently shifted into a larger project for City Work crews, as they move through what is now Day Two of repair work on water lines in the 200 block of 11th Avenue East.

Yesterday a hopeful note from the City through their Facebook portal indicated that there were hopes that the job would be but a one day effort.

But today the work continued and with it the re-routing of traffic along Prince Rupert Boulevard for eastward bound residents, those coming west can still travel along 11th Avenue though should heed the advisories of flagging personnel.

So far, there have been no further updates on the nature of the work, or when its completion is expected.  The work is just the latest of water line problems that work crews have had to address in recent weeks.
