Prince Rupert Fire Rescue gain new equipment courtesy of Pembina Pipeline

A 9,000 plus dollar grant from Pembina Pipelines has outfitted the Prince Rupert Fire Rescue Department with some new fire fighting gear, with the PRFD now able to make use of two un-manned fire nozzles which will enable the Department to work more efficiently to address large scale fires, whether they be industrial, commercial or residential.

In a community update posted to the City's Facebook page, the City's Corporate Administrator Rosamaria Miller outlined some of the details to the new investment for the city's Fire Service.

Some samples of the style of un-manned nozzle now set for use for the PRFD can be found from the Rocky Mountain Phoenix Fire supply website, which outlines the specialized uses and specifications for this type of equipment.
