Showtime for the 2021 Children's Festival!

The talents of the youth of Prince Rupert and area will be on display through the weekend, starting this evening as the Prince Rupert Special Events Society takes the annual Children's Festival online for 2021, their response to the need to continue with COVID precautions this year.

As we outlined last month, organizers at Prince Rupert Special Events came up with the virtual showcase as they looked for ways to keep the popular festival as  part of the community fabric.

The Children's Festival, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, has four categories of participation for the 2021 showcase.

Junior up to Grade 5
Middle School Grades 6-8
Senior Youngsters Grades 9-12

And a Group category

The result of those contributions will be on display through CityWest Community Television, starting today with showtimes of 4PM, 5PM and 6PM with another two broadcasts set for Saturday at 4 PM and 5PM
