It's that time of the year again, with local community non profit organizations and volunteer groups now putting some thought toward their Community Enhancement Grant applications, that as the City of Prince Rupert opens up a two month window to submit an application for consideration.
The call for applications was put in motion this week through Social Media, with the City putting out notice of the process towards the grant funding and that this years deadline for those applications will be September 16th at 4PM.
The Community Enhancement Grants are awarded each year and provide cash grants, special grants, services in kind and inventory opportunities for the applicants.
Those looking to apply can pick up an application form from the Corporate Services office at City Hall, Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

2021 saw the City allocate 1.5 million dollars in funding for grants or contributions for the year, an amount that was down from the year prior.
Included in the listings for 2021 was a review of the larger amounts provided on an annual basis to such groups as the Library, Museum and Arts Centre Society.
