Success in the Round Up of the Wanted; thanks to tips from Prince Rupert residents

Two are now off the Wanted list for the Prince Rupert RCMP


The Prince Rupert RCMP have put out the thanks for the help notice today, relaying word of some success in rounding up some subjects of their Wanted campaign.

In an update on their work, the members of the Prince Rupert detachment note that they have located and taken back into custody two men featured over the last month. The successful efforts coming after a number of tips from residents of the Prince Rupert area.

On June 23, 2022, the Prince Rupert RCMP published a news release informing the public that a Canada-wide warrant had been issued for a 24-year-old man who escaped a correctional facility in Abbotsford, BC. The man has since been located and taken back into custody. 

On July 13, 2022, the Prince Rupert RCMP published a news release asking for the public to assist with locating a 47-year-old man in connection with multiple warrants. Thanks to the many tips received, the man was located, arrested and released on a new court date.
