Friday Deadline nears for those seeking a 2022 Permissive Tax Exemption

Property owners that may have opportunity to apply for a Permissive Tax Exemption with the City of Prince Rupert have until this Friday to make sure their paperwork is in place for their application.

The Notice for 2022 was posted to the City website in early June and set the deadline for applications for July 15th.

As we noted at the time, the Permissive Property Tax Exemption policy was updated in June of 2019 and provides support for organizations within the community that further Council's objective to enhance the quality of life and delivering services in the community.

The full list of qualifications required to apply for the Exemptions can be reviewed here.

We explored the topic in some detail in June and those notes are available here.
