The City of Prince Rupert Job Listings this month have a very heavy focus on positions at the Recreation Center, with four of the five current positions listed involving work at either the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre or Earl May Aquatic Centre.
Among the Job Opportunities, work as a custodian, Icemaker and two Lifeguard postings.
Filling the Aquatic positions has been a challenge for much of the year and the City is not alone in that area of staffing shortages, across the Province many municipal governments have had to reduce openings at their Aquatic facilities owing to the lack of trained lifeguards for their programs and operations.
Those who enjoy the swimming opportunities at the Earl Mah Aquatic Centre have also shared in that situation, on occasion finding notices on the City's Recreation Social Media feed to advise that the facility hours have been changed owing to staffing issues.
You can explore all of the job opportunities from the City's Employment Opportunities Page on the City of Prince Rupert website.
