Province seeks comment from British Columbians on functions of the Representative for Children and Youth Act


The Province of British Columbia is looking for feedback from British Columbians towards one of its most important works of legislation towards Children and Youth, the consultation process one that is hosted but the Select Standing Committee on Children and youth.

As part of the review, the main focus for the Committee is how the Act is working or may be improved and whether the functions of the Representative described in section 6 of the Act are sufficient.

The summer public engagement process continues until July 27th and is taking place through the Committee's consultation portal. 

To participate review the information available here and forward your comments or observations on the topic.

 The Committee will review the submissions received with a view to inviting those who made submissions to make presentations in the fall.
