From a Pineapple under the Sea ... to the Stage of the Lester Centre: SpongeBob the Musical launches tonight

Your Days of Television viewing past meet up with Live Theatre tonight as the talented actors, crew and musicians from Charles Hays Secondary take to the Stage for SpongeBob the Musical.

The 2022 Musical for the Secondary School under the guidance of Alison O'Toole takes to the stage tonight for the first of three shows which serve as the Opening Act for the City's Winterfest celebrations.

From the days of the casting calls and on through rehearsals, the students involved have put some long days and nights into getting their lines down.

The pit band has been working hard to get the musical notes just right and the set development team taking to their work. 

The result a recreation of the idyllic underwater sphere for the madness that SpongeBob and his acquaintances will bring to the stage starting tonight.

The theatrical version of the popular Nickelodeon Television show will have show times of 7:30 tonight and Friday, with the Saturday finale to take place at 2PM.

The Lester Centre offers up this preview of the three nights ahead.

Tickets for the show go for 16 dollars for adults, Students and Seniors gain admittance for $11.
