Seaspan Kestrel on display at Cow Bay, as Gitxaala Nation and Seaspan introduce new docking service

As we outlined yesterday, the newest ship docking service on the North Coast is about to go into service with the Gitxaala Nation and Season Marine working together to launch their marine service in January.

Today has been Show and Tell day down at the Cow Bay Dock, with the massive Seaspan vessel the Kestrel alongside.  

The stop in Prince Rupert allowing residents and marine enthusiasts a chance to get a close up look and take a tour the vessel which is part of the large Seaspan fleet in BC.

The new ship docking service in Prince Rupert is a partnership between
the Gitxaala Nation and Seaspan


Built in 2011,  the vessel provides for towing and escort services in may ports in British Columbia. You dig into the specs for the Seaspan vessel from the chart below:


The vessel is open for tours until 3:30 today at Cow Bay Marina
