Port Edward's North Pacific Historical Site Opens for new season

starts off the 2019 tourism season

It's one of the most mentioned of local attractions that the North Coast has and a popular spot for both visitors and locals to make the trip out to Port Edward for, and as we move further into May, the North Pacific Cannery Historical Site is now open for its 2019 season.

The site located along Inverness Passage near the mouth of the Skeena attracts visitors from around the world and offers a chance for local residents to recapture some of the storied history of the salmon canning industry that built the region.

Opening Day was May 1st and the site will remain open through until September 30th.

May and June find North Pacific working a five day a week schedule from Tuesday to Sunday, with a switch over to seven day a week openings through July, August and September.
