In this season of giving, North Coast Transition Society could use a little of our Christmas spirit this year

As we edge closer and closer to the 25th of December, a reminder to take a pause to think of those who may not have as much or are in need this season.

Already this season, we've heard of the efforts for a number of organizations in town to try and make things just a little bit brighter.

And among the many  doing good works not only at Christmas but all year long is the North Coast Transition Society, which continues to look to make things just a bit better this month for their clients.

In a recent social media post they highlighted the efforts underway to move more of those in need into the Crane's Crossing supportive housing facility at Five Corners, with 46 residents to be in place in time for Christmas.

With the days dwindling until Christmas Day, NCTS has outlined some notes towards their annual tradition of providing stocking stuffers for every woman, man and child that is with them.

With the Society having a goal of 150 stockings to fill by the 25th.

The full list of items they are looking for some help towards can be reviewed below:

Drop-offs can be made Monday to Friday 10am to 4:30pm at the Blue Heron Program offices at 1402 Park Avenue (middle archway in the driveway - blue door).

Should you wish to chat with NCTS  about the program, you can call them 250 627-8959 ext 31

As well, follow their social media stream for more notes on how you can help them out over this holiday period.
