Heading towards the sunset month for itinerate marine travellers ... revenue stream up slightly for Cow Bay Marina

At the half way point of 2023, the City's Cow Bay Marina was seeing a slight uptick in revenues from one year ago, as more marine travellers found their way into a slip at the facility below the Atlin Terminal on the Cow Bay waterfront.

The financial review came as part of last week's City Council session with the release of the June Departmental reports from the City's Chief Financial Officer.

From the report, the Cow Bay Marina reported $195,929 in revenue up from $146,691, the Estimated budget amount of revenue for the year is marked at $413,000 with half the year still to be accounted for in the reports.

On the expenses side, spending was up about 20,000 from 2022, with Expenditures listed at $193,643 as of the end of June. That leaves just under 52 percent remaining in the 2023 budget for the Marina.

Council members had no questions related to Cow Bay Marina operations at the Monday session.

A look at the financials from the recent variance report from the August 28th Council session provides a glimpse at both the revenue side and the expenses for the Cow Bay Marina so far this year.
