Port Edward residents can catch up to the recent work of their Council this week, with the latest District Update available online for community residents.
The March missive making note of a number of themes from ongoing public works to some new funding coming the way of the District, that coming out of the recent BC Budget and the success for the NWBCRBA initiative.
That entry finds Mayor Knut Bjorndal noting that the formal of dividing up the 250 million dollars from the province has yet to be decided upon, with a committee to work out the details for the member communities of the Alliance.
Some public works updates are included in the report, with notes on the progress for the road work from last year which is to be finished once the warmer weather arrives, along with the homestretch for the work on the District Fire Hall.
The work on the District's 2024 Budget process is now underway, with the. Council to decide on priorities ahead along with seek comment from the public as part of their work.
