Flotilla of SAR Responders set sail Saturday for exercise in Prince Rupert Harbour

The Cow Bay Marina area was the marshalling spot for a number of local and regional Search and Rescue groups along with other responders Saturday, that as an exercise in Prince Rupert harbour took place under sunny skies but cool tempertures.

The Prince Rupert Port Authority had noted of the event last week, relaying the scope of those services participating in the day long event far from the shoreline at Cow Bay.

As the exercise wound down on Saturday, the parade of vessels taking part made for their return to the dock at Cow Bay.

Also participating in the Saturday exercise was the Prince Rupert Ground Search and Rescue Unit, with their vehicle staged on the Promenade just west of the Atlin Terminal.

So far there have been no updates from RCMSAR Station 64 or the Prince Rupert Ground SAR on how the day went.
