Travel advisories mark some Northwest Highways inland today

The rain which is currently pelting the Prince Rupert region is making for some changing travel conditions along Highway 16 and the feeder routes of the Northwest this morning.

Much of the North Coast Inland and Bulkley Valley regions are currently under a Winter Storm Warnings, with an ongoing pacific front bringing snow, rain or freezing rain to communities to the east of Prince Rupert.

And from those weather warnings Drive BC is making note of the potential for changing road conditions through the day.

For the moment, the area of most concern is that north of the Kitwanga turn off.

To the North, Highway 37 is under a Travel advisory from Kitwanga Junction through to Bell II, as well as on towards the Stewart area.
