The doors are open and the stock on the shelves as Fields returns to the North Coast, reopening their Prince Rupert location in the Rupert Square's lower level.
The new Fields however is no longer part of the Hudson's Bay chain, as we outlined on the blog earlier this year, the Fields name was purchased by a company known as FHC Holdings, no doubt with hopes of building on brand recognition as they entered the retail market in under served Canadian markets.
The announcement of their return to Prince Rupert was made in March, with hopes of a spring opening, spring alas turned into summer, but with just a bit of delay the latest shopping option for the community is now open.
The return of Field to the Rupert Square provides a new tenant for the mall, which has begun the process of filling up some of those empty spots on its two floors
For the most part, shoppers will find that the stock in the new Fields is much of the same as found there in the past. A quick walk through of the store and review of their flyer's suggests, pretty well the same stock as that found at Wal Mart and the Bargain Store.
Shoppers looking for weekly sales and special offerings from the store can check their website for updated flyer's and information on store happenings.
You can review our original item on the return here.
It's always good when things open again to fill the cavities in the mall.
