It's Flu Shot time across the Northwest |
Northern Health is reminding residents of the North of the dangers of the Flu and for those at risk, as well as how easy it is to access the flu shot along with the importance of getting one to provide for as much protection as possible for the months ahead.
The flu shot is recommended for everybody that is above the age of six months.
The flu vaccine is recommended and free for the following groups:
People at high risk
People capable of transmitting influenza to those at high risk
People who provide essential community services

Locally, in addition to the Northern Health clinics, you can also access the flu shot from the local pharmacy departments of local retail stores in the city.
The Flu shot is available at Canada Safeway, Save on More, Shoppers and Wal Mart, you can check the pharmacies at those locations to learn when you can access the flu vaccine during their business hours.
Where ever you may be in the Northern Health region, you can locate a flu clinic location from the Northern Health website, with an interactive map which lists the options in your community.
