Nomination period now open for Prince Rupert Chamber's Business Excellence Awards



The road to the Gala Celebration for Prince Rupert's business owners and entrepreneurs starts this month as the Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce opens up the nomination process for the annual salute to the commercial sector.

There are fifteen categories ready to accept nominations, they include:

Award for Dining Distinction
Business of the Year
Community Involvement Award
Family Conscious Business of the Year
Home Based Business Excellence
Indigenous Peoples Entrepreneurship Award
Individual Customer Service Excellence
Industry and Manufacturing Excellence
Newsmaker of the Year
Not for Profit of the Year
Professional Excellence
Retail Excellence
Rookie Business of the Year
Tourism and Accommodation Excellence
Young Entrepreneur of the Year

The timeline for the path ahead to the March 3rd gala at the Lester Centre will see the nomination period continue through until December 15th.

In late January, the Chamber will host an event to celebrate the nominees and announce the finalists for the 2017-18 Business Excellence Awards.

Online voting for the finalists will start on January 25th and continue until February 10th, with voting to take place in all categories except for the Chamber Member of the Year and the Newsmaker of the Year which are selected by panel.
