BC Ferries delayed sailing to Haida Gwaii set to sail at 10 PM

Ready to set sail, BC Ferries is preparing to resume its service
to Haida Gwaii following some adverse weather the last few days


The weather over Hecate Strait has improved to the point where BC Ferries is set to resume its sailing schedule out of Prince Rupert, posting the latest Service Notice to their website today.

In the notice the Ferry Corporation noted that the Northern Expedition is expected to depart for Skidegate at 10 PM this evening, with arrival at the Haida Gwaii terminal at 6 AM.

Those living on Haida Gwaii will want to make note of the continued advisory for service between Alliford and Skidegate, with sailings cancelled for the day.
