Adverse weather brings sailing delay and schedule revision for Northern Expedition

Marine Storm warnings are in force all areas of the North
Coast with conditions to continue through to Monday

Adverse weather conditions in Hecate Strait have given cause for BC Ferries to delay Sunday night's scheduled sailing of the Northern Expedition.

Environment Canada issued a Storm Warning for the region at 4 PM Sunday, with conditions expected to continue through until Monday.

With the Marine Weather Warnings, come a revision to the
BC Ferries sailing schedule from Prince Rupert to Skidegate

The revised schedule for the journey from Prince Rupert to Skidegate will see a 6 AM departure on Tuesday morning January 30th, with arrival at Skidegate at Noon Hour.

Four hours later, the vessel will make the return trip to Prince Rupert, with a Tuesday afternoon departure for 4 PM with arrival at the Fairview Bay Terminal in Prince Rupert at 10 PM.

More background to the schedule revision can be found here.
