Conrad School issues notice after residents report Cougar sighting in area

School officials at Conrad elementary have alerted
parents and guardians of a reported Cougar sighting in the area

Conrad School has taken the precaution of issuing an advisory to parents and guardians of students at the east side school after a report of a Cougar sighting in the immediate area of the school.

Reports on Monday were made to the School office of a sighting of the animal near the apartments that are located to the rear of the school, in their advisory school officials suggested to parents that their children walk in pairs or groups.

The School also advised both the Provincial Conservation Service and the RCMP of the reports of the sighting in the school area. So far there has been no information on the reported incident released from the local detachment.

Should you spot the animal you can report the sighting to the Conservation service at 1-877-952-7277 (RAPP)

If it's an emergency where potential harm is a possibility you can phone the local detachment of the RCMP to report the situation.
