First Registration opportunity for Minor Softball comes up at end of month

They may be a few months away from the first pitch, catch and hit, but organizers of the Prince Rupert Minor Softball Association will be taking the first applications for the 2018 season later this month at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.

The First of three Registration periods is set for January 27th from 1 to 3 PM at the Raven Room of the McBride Street Recreation Facility.

Those that take advantage of the January registration have an opportunity to gain an early registration Discount of 20 percent off their fees for this year.

There are two categories for the Association with the January registration fees as follows:

Under  6 to Under 10 -- Born 2008-2013 -- 40 dollars
Under 12 to Under 19 -- Born 2000- 2007 -- 40 dollars

The two follow up registrations take place in mid February and early March, with registration fees increasing as each deadline passes.

Parents and Guardians should note that registration fees are due at the time of Registration.

There will be no late registrations allowed for the 2018 season and players who have not been registered, or who have note paid their fees in full will not be allowed to play.

In late December the PRMSA's Ralph Weick and Lisa Paolinelli Prillo provided an update on the Association's activities for Prince Rupert City Council. Their short presentation to Council (which you can review here)  it provides for a good glimpse into the roots of the organization and what they have planned for the 2018 season.

You can find out more about what they have to offer from their Facebook page and Website.

As we get closer to the start of the season, notes on the 2018 Softball season can be reviewed from our archive page here.
