North Coast diners take the city's options for a "taste drive" over thirty days

The second edition for what has become a popular tour of the city's dining options has returned to the North Coast, with twelve North Coast restaurants signed up to take part in the 2018 edition of Dine Out Prince Rupert.

The Dine Out Prince Rupert project which launched last year has been designed to encourage residents to explore the city's thriving restaurant scene and allows for the kitchen staff from each participating restaurant to test out some new ideas or bring a creative approach to meal presentation during the month long event.

Last year's experiences helped to shape what's ahead for 2018, with local restaurant owners taking note of the things that worked well a year ago and discarding other concepts that perhaps didn't deliver the desired results.

Modelled after a similar program in Vancouver that is now heading into its 16th year, the Dine Out Project helps to put a bit of buzz into the local dining scene and introduces some new venues and services for this years contest.

The Dine Out Prince Rupert project was launched for this year on January 4th and runs until February 3rd and offers an interesting cross section of the local dining scene.

Participating restaurants include:

Breakers Pub

Cargo Kitchen and Bar

Cowpuccino's

Cow Bay Cafe

Crest Hotel

Fukasaku

JavaDotCup

Mucho Gusto Catering

Opa Sushi

The Cook-a-Roux

The Olive Restaurant

Wheelhouse Brewing Company

Those diners that participate in the month long contest have an opportunity to win a gift card from the Dine Out Prince Rupert Participating eateries.

All you have to do is share a photo of your meal on Facebook and tag the picture with the Dine Out Prince Rupert Facebook page.

You can learn more about the competition and view the menus from participating restaurants from the Dine Out Facebook page as well.
