The job opportunities listings are active once again at Prince Rupert City Hall, with the City posting a call for applicants for the position of Assistant Operations Manager.

The opportunity which is a full time - exempt position was posted to the City website this week,  with a deadline for applications set for March 27th.

Among some of the attributes the city is looking for in candidates:

A high degree of initiative, exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to manage people and projects relating to construction, operation and maintenance of the infrastructure in a municipal or related sector.

The City suggests that the position is one that offers satisfaction for a detail oriented individual who thrives in a multi-faceted environment and can exercise patience and sound judgment when dealing with customer complaints and difficult situations.

There's not much change in the parameters for the position since the last time the City was looking for an Assistant Manager, back in March of 2017.

The position reports to the Operations Manager.

The position become available as the city is about to enter the busy spring and summer project season, with a number of objectives to be met should the city budget gain approval later this spring.
