Fishermen's Hall joins the ranks of iconic listings for Prince Rupert's realty sector

For Sale! Fishermen's Hall is the latest of well known Prince Rupert buildings
to be put up on the realty listings in the city

The downtown hall that has been the scene for some of the regions most historic labour developments is front and centre in the middle of some new developments this week.

With Fishermen's Hall the focal point of the community which has also hosted more than a few wedding receptions, social and community events and currently hosts the offices for much of the labour and social activist movement in the city now up for sale.

The iconic Fraser Street address makes for the latest of high profile buildings now entered among the commercial listings, joining a number of locales steeped in local history as available for purchase with a starting asking price of $650,000.

The For Sale sign goes up as the local membership for CAW-UFAWU continues to decline as employment opportunities in the North Coast Fishery continue to become more and more limited following the closure or reduced operations at local fish plants through the last decade.

Its arrival to the local listings provides for some company for the once Presbyterian church on 4th Avenue East that is also available for purchase, listed at $499,000.

Both are listed with Remax, with the Fishermen's Hall also making for the latest entry among some interesting commercial opportunities to be found across the city.
