On the Market! Now decommissioned as a place of worship,

With the final celebration of the congregation held in late May, the keys to Prince Rupert's Presbyterian Church have been turned over to the Realtors, with the opening price for the landmark building on 4th Avenue East, listed at 540,000 dollars.

Remax Prince Rupert's Dorothy Wharton has the listing for the impressive structure overlooking the City's downtown area.  The Church is Zoned as R2 for residential, with the building which was constructed in the mid 1920's set to make for one of the more intriguing real estate listings that the community has seen for a number of years.

The property listing which you can review here, also comes with a range of photos from the historical Prince Rupert building.

Among some of the highlights featured in the preview of the property, wooden floor trim, stairs, railings and pews, along with the stain glassed windows, as well as a note that the building was last renovated in the late 1980's.

As we noted last month, the First Presbyterian reached the decision to close its doors and hosted its decommissioning Service as the level of participation from the congregation continued to decline.
